Research Interest
While completing a master's degree in International Peace and Development, Dagny realized that one of the best opportunities to facilitate greater global cooperation and peace was through the growth of sustainable industries and social responsibility. She focused her thesis on Shaping Globalization through Conscious Consumerism and since has worked to help build the conscious consumerism movement. Formerly as Managing Director of Strategic Global Affairs for New Hope Natural Media and currently as Founder of the Obtainable Grapefruit, an organization that helps both businesses and consumers become more sustainable. Additionally, she works with Fair Trade Towns and is on the Fair Trade Futures 2010 Planning Committee. Dagny is devoted to unveiling the relationship between what we buy and global environmental and social practices and helps everyday people understand that they are empowered to change the world for the better!
