Agatha Herman
Dr. Agatha Herman's Details
I am a Senior Lecturer in Human Geography in the School of Geography and Planning, Cardiff University, UK. My research interests centre around questions of power and ethics, with a focus on production spaces and my most recent research focuses on the capability of certified Fairtrade to promote resilient and ethical development within, and beyond, its producer communities with a focus on the wine sector. This was funded through a British Academy Travel Grant (2015) and a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship (2014-17) with fieldwork across South Africa, Argentina, Chile and Europe. I am also interested in issues around governance, social resilience and alternative economies.
