The aim of the paper is to show how the major impact of Fair Trade strategies is focused on overcoming market failures concerning informative and organizational variables. Empirical evidence confirms the hypothesis that most relevant benefits for local producers stem from changes in conveniences from short to long term objectives, increase in the propensity in investment, strenghten of collective action in the production both of private and collective goods and not from temporary income raises.
