CONSCIOUS CONSUMERISM: Shaping Globalization through the Empowerment of the People

Title: CONSCIOUS CONSUMERISM: Shaping Globalization through the Empowerment of the People
Summary:

Due to enormous purchasing power, U.S. citizens hold a major key in shaping worldwide human rights, environmental practices and the process of globalization though increased consciousness concerning products purchased. Every dollar spent supports the practices of companies from which the consumer buys. Consider purchases as donations to charities. As with a charity only those companies choosing to operate as socially responsible organizations should be endorsed. Under the current capitalist structure, worldwide practices are absolutely dependent upon monetary support. If the consumer public only endorses ethical human rights and environmentally responsible policies then only companies with those policies will survive and succeed.
