Andrew Crane joined the Schulich School of Business in January 2007 as the George R. Gardiner Professor of Business Ethics. Prior to this, he held the Chair in Business Ethics at the International Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (ICCSR) at Nottingham University Business School and was previously at Cardiff University where he was involved in setting up the ESRC Centre for Business Relationships, Accountability, Sustainability, & Society (BRASS).

Over the past decade he has been at the forefront of efforts to integrate social, ethical, and environmental issues into management research and education. He is author (with Dirk Matten) of Europe’s market leading textbook on business ethics and this will be followed by research and teaching texts on CSR in 2007. He was the founding Director of the UK’s first MBA in CSR, has taught business ethics at every level of the business school, including setting up an executive training course on CSR for the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and collaborating with the British Council India on CSR curriculum development in Indian business schools. He has published widely on business ethics and CSR in scholarly management journals, and regularly presents on the subject at conferences in Europe, North America, Asia, and Latin America.
