Author's short biography:


Social scientist working on international trade, labour and poverty, with a specialisation in fair trade and corporate social responsibility. Extensive work and research experience in Africa, Central America and Asia. Recent research includes a study on the implications of mainstreaming fair trade in supermarkets and a two year impact assessment for the UK's Ethical Trading Initiative. Also involved in consultancy on fair trade for the Fairtrade Foundation, Twin and Oxfam.
