Author's short biography:
Activism, community organizing, people-centered development, indigenous peoples. I have been involved in all of the above as a lawyer and coffee roaster for more than thirty years. I am actively engaged in raising the bar on for Fair Trade and social justice in the United States and in the coffee lands. I created Dean's Beans in 1993 to prove that business could (must!) be a vehicle for positive social change by engaging in the lives of grower communities through progressive activism, development and economic relations. It works. |
